At The Emily Moises Center, we are committed to empowering adults with developmental disabilities through meaningful programs that foster independence, confidence, and community connection. Our services are thoughtfully designed to support the whole person — socially, emotionally, developmentally, and practically.

Social & Recreational Services

Connection is essential to well-being. Our social and recreational programs create opportunities for participants to engage, interact, and build lasting friendships in a safe and supportive environment. Through holiday celebrations, themed events, group activities, games, music, and community outings, individuals strengthen social skills while experiencing joy and belonging.

These experiences encourage teamwork, communication, confidence, and community integration — all while having fun.

Day Habilitation Services

Our day habilitation services focus on developing essential life skills that promote independence and personal growth. Participants engage in structured activities that build daily living skills, problem-solving abilities, self-advocacy, and functional routines.

We create a supportive, work-like environment where individuals can practice responsibility, develop new competencies, and gain the confidence needed to navigate daily life with greater independence.

Legal Aid & Advocacy

We believe every individual deserves to have their rights protected and their voice heard. Our legal aid and advocacy services provide guidance, resources, and support to individuals and families navigating complex systems.

Whether it involves understanding benefits, accessing services, or ensuring fair treatment, we stand alongside our participants and their families to promote dignity, equality, and empowerment.

Therapeutic Programs

Our therapeutic programs are at the heart of what we do — especially our primary focus: Art as Therapy.

Through structured art classes and creative expression, participants strengthen fine motor skills, improve focus, enhance emotional regulation, and build confidence. Art provides a powerful outlet for communication and self-expression, allowing individuals to explore their creativity while developing essential cognitive and social skills.

More than an activity, our therapeutic art program nurtures growth, independence, and personal empowerment in a safe and encouraging environment.

At The Emily Moises Center, our services work together to create a holistic approach to care — one that supports growth, builds abilities, and fosters a true sense of belonging.
